Á flugvellinum

When traveling it is always interesting to go through severity. I remember last time I flew my TSA person was not the most pleasant person to be working that day. Today is quite the opposite. Security was smooth and pleasant. The only hitch was this group of about 30-40 music students on a study abroad trip to London. Let's hope that they will be respectful and such on the plane and during the flight or so help me I will... Well things would get ugly!

We have about 45 min til we board :)

See you all in Iceland!

Flughræðsla

In about 7-8 hours we will be heading down to the airport. This few hours prior to the flight, for me, are probably the most stressful. I don't have a fear of flying , I just have only done it once (well I mean 2 times or more of you count changing planes and the return flight) when I went to Saint Petersburg. Due to this I am not as comfortable with the whole airport, security etc. so I will have high expert. I also have mass worry about all the possible bad things that could happen while in Iceland, though falling in a Volcano is not one of them by the way. :) I know all will be well and the time will be well spent relaxing and having Hákarl. Wish us luck and will update when we get to Iceland.

3 days prior

Getting things all packed and squared away for the trip to Iceland (and in general for the cross-country trip to Seattle, what will be our new  home) is something of a pain. I have a high disdain toward packing but anyway, there are 3 days until the great flight to Reykjavík. Though the weather has changed (constantly) on the app. I am using to look at the forecast, it should be nice the first few days we are there. Highs in the mid to upper 40s (be sure to bring a light jacket) and chances of rain from time to time. Over all SUPER excited about the trip. Will post pictures on Facebook and on other social media sites. I will update the blog daily with summaries of our travels and days.

Until we land in the 'Land elds og íss'!
